     Revive's second annual conference was a huge success! If you missed the conference, it's not too late to join a gathering of women who are determined to make a difference in our community.

 

     This year's conference featured a dynamic rally of speakers including  Ilinda Jackson, Coordinator, Faith and Character Community Program, Barbara Stomprud, Training for Reigning, Cynthia HuffmyerPresident of Revive, Carol CutlerWell Known Bible Study Fellowship Teacher, and a special appearance by Pam Kanaly, founder of Arise, outreach to single moms. Worship featured Marci Priest, worship leader and songwriter.  

                     

     Several local organizations that serve the poor showed us how easy it is to plug in and make a difference in our community.

Ladies, are you suffering from the winter doldrums? Then perhaps it time to Revive.
Revive, Inc. is a ministry to inspire, motivate and educate women about the organizations that are meeting the needs of the poor in Central Oklahoma, said Edmond resident Carol Wright, a board member for the group.
Revive will hold its second annual conference on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the MetroTech Springlake location, at NE 36th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard in Oklahoma City.
Wright invites women, of all faiths, who are interested in volunteering with the needy in the community to come to the meeting. There, they can discover where their time and talents can be put to the best use.
“We are working to connect the needs in the community with support and resources,” Wright explained. “It can be overwhelming. You want to help, but you don’t know how. The need is so great, where do I begin?”
